Who is the owner of saved data?
Metrel Cloud Storage User (“User” hereinafter) is the owner of data. We do not share it with third parties.
Where is User data physically stored?
For data storage we use Microsoft Azure datacentres located in the EU (North and West).
How does Metrel provide backup? Is it possible to recover deleted files?
For data storage we use the Microsoft Azure Blob solution. Data from Blob is replicated to two European datacentres EU North and EU West, where daily backups are performed. Deleted files can be recovered within 30 days upon of their deletion.
Who has access to User data and under what conditions?
The only one with access to data is the User (and Admin at Metrel). All administrator actions and changes are logged. Metrel provides the necessary support to enable the User to fulfil his obligations under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including assisting with data access requests, data correction, and data deletion requests.
How is User support organized?
The User should first contact the local distributor. The map of local distributors is available at https://www.metrel.si/en/locations/. The distributor will contact Metrel Support Center in case they won’t be able to help the User.
Is SW 1404 Metrel Cloud Storage a paid service?
The main SW 1404 Metrel Cloud Storage services currently available are free and there are no plans to introduce charges. However, additional services such as more space per User account will require a licence beginning in 2026. The price will be comparable to our competitors.
How much space is available per User?
Every registered User has access to 100 Mb space, which is already sufficient for most .padfx files. Users that will connect their account to the SW 1406 Metrel Cloud App will automatically gain 2 Gb space for free for 3 years. Starting in 2026, users will be able to expand their storage capacity with paid license options.
Is SW 1404 Metrel Cloud Storage GDPR compliant?
User contact information, needed to sign in to the SW 1404 Metrel Cloud Storage service, is the only data used by the SW 1404 Metrel Cloud Storage, that falls under the GDPR. Metrel is committed to ensuring that this User contact information data is processed and stored in accordance with the GDPR. Metrel ensures to:
- Only process personal data for the purpose of providing SW 1404 Metrel Cloud Storage services.
- Implement strong security measures to safeguard personal data, including encryption, access controls, and regular security audits.
- Notify the User and the data controller within 72 hours in the event of a data breach.
- Will only transfer personal data outside the EU/EEA in compliance with GDPR provisions.
