Metrel PQA: hardware & firmware improvement

As you already know (one of previous newsletters), our MI 2893 Power Master XT, MI 2892 Power Master, and MI 2885 Master Q4 power quality analysers are newly certified in accordance with the 61000-4-30 Ed.3.0 standard.
The certification process for the entire (Power) Master family or more specifically the conditions imposed by the certification body as a prerequisite to issuing the certificate, also included:
- Improved measurement hardware platform.
- Improved firmware and measurements algorithms in accordance with IEC 61000-4-30 Ed.3.0 standard.
- Unified user manual for all three PQA models.

Unified user manual for the aforementioned analysers is already available (link down below), while the unified hardware/firmware combo just came into being – i.e. first analysers left the production floor and are currently in the calibration department.

However, unified firmware/hardware likewise brings changes to the setup procedure for MI 2892 Power Master and MI 2885 Master Q4 – it is now the same as in the MI 2893 Power Master XT. New changes include:
- Transient recorder is from now on available on MI 2885 Master Q4.
- Inrush recorder is from now on available in MI 2892 Power Master and in MI 2885 Master Q4 (previously inside Waveform recorder menu).
- Addition of Inrush table in Recorders menu.
- Upgraded General Recorder setup screen with integrated Network Events in long term Recording sessions.
- Advanced integration of Events, Alarms, Signalling, Inrush, RVC and U/I/f 200ms Snapshot.
- New default folder structure on the SD card (folder name related to the recorded session).
- Additional icons for Transient, Inrush and Waveform recorder setup in Measurement setup menu.
- Setup of Transient functionality on MI 2892 Power Master and MI 2885 Master Q4 remains the same.
