MI 3309 BT DeltaGT FW upgrade: MESM support

There are few subareas within the test and measurement field more subject to constant changing of standards, legislation and best practices than PAT testing, and it’s not hard to see why. Appliances are becoming increasingly more complex and may require either more stringent testing or modified testing protocols to accommodate new technologies. Thus, testing equipment should or more precisely has to co-evolve and follow the general technological progress – like our PAT testers.
Metrel PAT testers are future-oriented and designed to be easily upgradeable – on the hardware side, through firmware upgrades. The same can be said for complementary software, although its future development and upgradability is predicated on development of the operating system (Microsoft Windows) it operates on. The SW 0201 PATLink PRO PC software is one such example. There have been issues with stability on newer Windows versions, particularly when used with the MI 3309 BT DeltaGT PAT tester.
With the new firmware upgrade for MI 3309 BT DeltaGT these issues are a thing of the past as the SW 0201 PATLink PRO is superseded by SW 1201 Metrel Electrical Safety Manager (MESM). The latter offers more features, better user-friendliness and is built upon a more robust programming framework with compatibility with newer version of the Windows operating system in mind.
We understand that switching to a new software may be daunting for some users and have therefore prepared a short instruction booklet (link below) that should help them make the transition.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: The (Android) mobile apps for MI 3309 BT DeltaGT remain unchanged (SW 1303 aPAT Android and SW 1308 PATLink Android).
