New crocodile clips for high-voltage measurements

Testing and measuring on high-voltage installations can be dangerous and requires specialized instruments, including appropriate accessories. Under the term accessories we mean not just test and connection leads which have to be properly dimensioned and coated with materials with high dielectric strength, but also crocodile clips. They have to ensure good contact with metal/conductive surfaces and at the same be safe for users in even the most demanding work environments.
Recognizing the growing need for dedicated HV clamps and taking into account appeals from business partners and end users for such an accessory in the last few years we decided to take action and develop advanced crocodile clamps, specifically suited for use with our instruments. These clamps are all of uniform shape, with large, ergonomically shaped handles and differ in colour, number of banana sockets and (lack of) connection cable (look notes) and connection plugs. There are also new crocodile clip accessory sets.

Large crocodile clip with banana socket(s) for general use

Notes:
- A 1593 Crocodile clip Kelvin have two banana socket for connecting test leads.
- A 1595 Large test crocodile clip, black and A 1596 Large test crocodile clip, red have only one banana socket.
- The only difference between A 1639 models is the length of connection leads (denoted in the name itself) and colour of connection plug (MI 3394 CE MultiTesterXA type plug) at the end (red or blue).
- Same can be said for A 1539 models, which are similar with A 1639 ones
(in cable lengths), but (all) have a black connection plug and a shielded connection cable. - S 1539 crocodile clip sets on the other hand encompass a combination of
A 1539 and A 1639 crocodile clips with cables, both of the same length
(as indicated in the name) and include a green connection lead of the same length.
Some existing accessories with clamps will be discontinued:
- A 1407 can be replaced with the 4 wire test lead available in standard
MI 3242 set and 2 x A 1593 Crocodile clip Kelvin - S 2046 till stock depletion
- S 2081 Set of Kelvin test leads with small crocodiles, 5m
- S 2003 5 kV test lead set, 2 m, 2 pcs
All models of HV crocodile clips are already available for purchase.
