Electrical Installations Safety

There is a growing number of electric vehicles on today’s roads accompanied by a rapid expansion of charging infrastructure – all of which must be regularly tested to meet safety standards. We are of course talking about electrical safety as virtually all electric vehicles use batteries with voltages that far exceed the safe voltage threshold. Any faults on the battery or the connected installation may therefore constitute a hazard for people and infrastructure.

Speaking of infrastructure, charging points, stations and other types of equipment used for charging electric vehicles’ batteries also require regular and rigorous testing. They are, from a practical electrical safety testing standpoint, part installations and part electrical equipment, and therefore require a more comprehensive approach.
