Measuring line / loop resistances on DC networks

The MI 3144 Euro Z 800 V is a versatile instrument for testing and measuring with the use of high current (up to 300 A), making it particularly suitable for applications, where low currents fall short due to issues with high EM noise and consequent reliability/accuracy. A good example would be measuring line and loop impedance on a live transformer. But, the instrument is also appropriate for more mundane testing/measuring applications, like measuring line and loop resistances on DC networks and sources.
The MI 3144 Euro Z 800 V supports live measuring of resistances without the need to disconnect the batteries of any other DC power source (the instruments can measure DC voltages from 3 V to 260 V). The purpose of this is of course to identify bad contacts on bus bars and inspect the condition of batteries, power switches, contactors and fuse holders. This is done by measuring the resistance at the power source and comparing the result with the one measured at the outer edge of the circuit (where voltage drops should not exceed predefined limits).
