Testing EVSE with A 1532 EVSE adapter + MI 3152 EurotestXC: Part 1

Thanks to a visionary entrepreneur and a growing number of established car manufacturers there is a growing number of electric vehicles (EVs) on today’s roads and their numbers are slowly, but steadily rising and this trend is projected to continue. Reasons for this are numerous, from greater environmental awareness of general populace (primarily car buyers) to decreasing prices of EVs, bringing them on par with vehicles with internal combustion engine.

Proliferation of electric vehicles brings many challenges, ranging from current inherent technological limitations of EVs themselves to building/setting up an adequate number of charging stations and ensuring acceptable electrical safety of said charging points (they are usually collectively referred to as  or EVSE for short). This can be a difficult task since there is a veritable mosaic of types of EVSE, requiring a comprehensive testing/measuring solution.
The combination of A 1532 EVSE adapter and MI 3152 EurotestXC is one such solution and appropriate for nearly all EVSE-related testing/measuring needs. The field of electrical installation safety testing and testing of EVSE is no exception, particularly due to the fact that a growing number of EVSE tests fall under the auspice of PAT testing. We have therefore prepared two comprehensive instructional (how to) videos on the A 1532 EVSE adapter itself (Part 1) and electrical safety testing of a 3-phase charging station using the A 1532 EVSE adapter and MI 3152 EurotestXC (Part 2).
