Our EOL testing suite supports electrical safety testing in accordance with the EN 50191 standard and as such is designed for integration in existing and new production/testing lines. Thanks to the modular design encompassing a single control unit and several safety modules with complementary accessories and sensors, it offers unrivalled flexibility in tailoring the testing process to customer’s needs.

The EOL testing suite comprises of a central control unit (MI 3394 CE MultiTesterXS) and several safety modules (units with application-specific safety mechanisms) with selected accessories, all tied together with a SDK for easy integration in an existing production/testing line. 

Safety standards

  • EN 50191 is the most common standard for electrical safety test environments to ensure that the products are designed so that they do not present an electrical hazard to the operator.
  • BGI 891 BGI 891 is a German guideline for erection and operation of electrical test installations. The guideline refers to EN 50191 (VDE 0104) and explains it in details.

Features*

  • HV withstanding dielectric test with programmable voltage ramp (500 VA AC, up to 5.1 kV, and DC up to 6 kV).
  • Earth bond / earth continuity testing (2-wire & 4-wire) with test currents 200 mA and 10 A / 25 A, including built in function for limit calculation based on wire length and cross section.
  • Insulation resistance testing up to 1000 V DC.
  • Leakage current measurement (PE leakage, differential leakage, touch leakage, substitute leakage).
  • Functional testing (power P / S / Q, voltage, current, cos fi, frequency, ThdU, ThdI, PF).
  • Discharge time measurement.
  • Multiple points testing for testing of extension leads with multiple socket-outlets.
  • Traceability of performed measurements and tests (user profiles).
  • Results can be read / written / sent via USB, Bluetooth, external printers, barcodes and QR codes and RFID/NFC communication channels.
  • Safety systems for erection of test installations in accordance with the EN 50191 standard, enabling to setup of test station with automatic protection against direct contact (S 2109 safety system with RFID sensor, S 2110 safety system with light barrier sensor).
  • Safety system for erection of test installations in accordance with the EN 50191 standard, enabling setup of test station without automatic protection against direct contact (S 2111 safety system with Two hand control);
  • Safety systems for erection of test installations where requirements from the EN 50191 standard can be omitted (S 2115 safety system with current limitation Itest < 3mA).
  • Pre-defined demo AUTOSEQUENCE®s to meet requirements from the IEC/EN 60335-1 Household And Similar Electrical Appliances Safety Part 1 General Requirements standard.
  • Automatic evaluation of safety with simple PASS / FAIL information (with additional all sub-results for a detailed report creation).
  • 3-phase appliance testing (via optional passive or active adapters).
  • Specialized test commander for earth continuity testing on larger objects with remote start/stop.
  • Easy retesting thanks to the scan, test and print barcoding system (PASS / FAIL labels).
