Milestones
There were many important milestones in the years since the founding, some more so than others, but all of them integral parts of our history, which is for us a continuing source of inspiration and a testament to the progress we made. Presented are only most significant landmarks, from the era of vacuum tubes to latest multifunctional instruments with wireless connectivity to mobile devices.

Establishment of factory in Horjul and start of large scale production of measuring and testing equipment for the domestic market.

Relocation of R&D department and doubling of production capacity.

First foreign export sales of limited quantities of products.

Vacuum tubes substituted with more reliable transistors in instruments and testers.

Launch of first instruments using microprocessor technology, aimed primarily at high-end markets.

Introduction of MA 9521 SPEKOL, state-of-the-art spectrophotometer, developed in cooperation with optics manufacturer Carl Zeiss Jena.

Metrel registered under current name and business structure with majority of shareholders being current and former employees.

Launch of MI 2086 Eurotest 61557, first representative of eponymous family of multifunctional installation testers.

Establishment of Metrel Mehanika d.o.o., a sister company of Metrel d.d. and manufacturer of metal components.

Introduction of MI 3101 EurotestAT and MI 3105 EurotestXA, first 2nd generation platforms, which facilitated the integration of AUTO SEQUENCE® functionality.

Formation of Metrel’s first foreign subsidiaries: Metrel GmbH in Germany and Metrel UK Ltd. in the UK.

Establishment of Metrel museum for showcasing company history through historic and current products.

Start of production of 2nd generation of SMARTEC family of single-function testers.

Start of production of MI 2592 PowerQ4, first 2nd generation PQA instrument, which helped strengthen Metrel’s presence in the area of power quality analysis.

Starting a new product group (continuity insulation testers) with the introduction of MI 3252 MicroOhm 100A.

Family of continuity insulation testers futher expanded with the addition of MI 3242 MicroOhm 2A and MI 3250 MicroOhm 10A.

First electrical installation testers for photovoltaic installations (MI 3108 EurotestPV and MI 3109 EurotestPV Lite).

Introduction of MI 2892 Power Master, first 3rd generation PQA tester and first Metrel's instrument with colour screen.

Presentation of MI 3394 CE MultiTesterXA, new advanced PAT and machine tester, designed for large volume testing and new hardware platform, which serves as a basis for future developments.

Launch of revolutionary multifunctional installation tester, MI 3152 EurotestXC, which was also the first Metrel instrument with a colour touch screen.

First hardware/accessory modular earth testing system with the introduction of MI 3290 Earth Analyser.

Entry in the field of transformer testing with MI 3280 Digital Transformer Analyser

Introduction of MI 3360 OmegaPAT XA portable electrical appliance safety tester.

Launch of MI 3155 EurotestXD, most advanced multifunctional installation tester to date, new flagship of Eurotest family of instruments and first 3rd generation instrument.

Introduction of MI 3325 MultiServicerXD, a dedicated machine and switchboard tester.

Expansion of measuring/testing functionality of selected Eurotest testers through introduction of MI 3144 Euro Z 800 V and A 1632 eMobility Analyser adapters.
